Our water and sewer infrastructure improvements are continuing forward. The replacement of the sewer line on Shoreacres Blvd will commence when the rain stops. Rain, rain go away! Bids are out for the smart meters and that project is on track for April. The final plans for the new water transmission line to the water plant at City Hall should be final in a couple of weeks. Won’t it be nice to have constant water pressure? I know that our city staff is looking forward to that!
At the Monday, February 11th City Council meeting, council approved a change to Park Circle. Effective March 1st, this street which surrounds Circle Park will become a one-way street. We will have plenty of signage to indicate the change. This change is just in time for the March 2nd Chili Cook-off and will make the park a safer space for our citizens.
Be sure and come out to the Chili Cook-off and purchase a tasting kit. Oh, and bring a Pepcid or Tums – you’ll need it!
Have a great February!
