February 2019 City Manager's Desk

The past several weeks we have been moving forward on projects to make our city better, and to add to the convenience of our residents. We have initiated the first projects including updates of our water meters and water lines. This is a process but the wheels are turning and we are moving forward.

As stated last month, we have picked up our code enforcement activities and you may have noticed many lots being cleaned up. Several have been mowed, and some have had debris and junk removed. Also, junked vehicles are being addressed as we go. We haven’t been able to reach everyone responsible for a lot or residence, but we are working on it.

Our Shoreacres Civic Association is having the annual chili cook off on March 2, 2019 at Circle Park. This is an excellent time to get out and meet your neighbors or just fellowship with old friends. We hope for beautiful weather, but you never know around this time of year.

I wish each of you a safe and happy remainder of your February!

Troy
